Dr. Kanelos received her undergraduate degree at Miami University and received her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her internship at Carolinas Medical Center and residency at Carolinas Rehabilitation in Charlotte, North Carolina where she served as chief resident in her final year of residency. Dr. Kanelos then joined the faculty of Carolinas Rehabilitation where she worked as the Director of the Prosthetics and Orthotics program and Co-Director of the Lymphedema program. She is very active in the education of residents and was awarded the James T. McDeavitt Teaching Award in 2010 for contributions to the education of residents at Carolinas Rehabilitation. Her interests include prosthetics and orthotics, lymphedema, general rehabilitation, musculoskeletal disorders, electromyography, and injections.
Dr. Natarajan is double board certified in both Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as well as Integrative Medicine. She uses her diverse and comprehensive skill set to help her patients heal the root cause of disease and dysfunction within a Functional Medicine model. Her aim is not just to eradicate disease but to redefine the standard of health and help her patients achieve phenomenal wellbeing in body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Natarajan is trained in Functional Medicine through the Institute of Functional Medicine, Medical Acupuncture through UCLA, and Medical Ayurveda through MAAA. She received her undergraduate training at Davidson College as a Smith Scholar and went on to pursue her medical training at the UNC School of Medicine at Chapel Hill, NC where she was named a Riggins scholar placing her in the top two of her medical class. In addition, the UNC School of Medicine conferred on her the honor of Doctorate of Medicine with Distinction. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine, and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Natarajan is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, the Institute of Functional Medicine, and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. Her interests include functional and integrative medicine, neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal medicine, prosthetics and orthotics, adults and pediatrics, and life care planning.
Bethany Sprague FNP-C
Bethany Sprague is trained as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of the University of NC at Charlotte where she graduated summa cum laude. She has post-graduate training in Functional Medicine with the Kresser Institute of Functional Medicine and the Institute of Functional Medicine. Bethany uses her training in functional and integrative medicine to get to the root cause of symptoms. She has special education and interest in pain symptoms and has master level training with the Lyftogt Perineural Injection Treatments (PIT). She was also the first Nurse Practitioner in the world to have this specialized training. Bethany also specializes in persons with special needs including physical and developmental needs. She is credentialed with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and can see patients from NC & SC. Bethany lives in Huntersville, NC with her husband, 2 children, and 3 dogs. She is passionate about healthy food, clean living, hot yoga, and gardening.
